Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tindakan konkoplasti pada pasien dengan hipertrofi konka merupakan tindakan operasi yang umum dilakukan di bidang Telinga Hidung Tenggorok Bedah Kepala Leher (THT-BKL). Mengetahui banyak komplikasi yang dapat terjadi perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk menentukan kualitas hidup pasien dan tindakan operasi yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan kualitas hidup pasien dengan hipertrofi konka sebelum dan setelah operasi berdasarkan Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) di Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin. Metode: Penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain kohort retrospektif telah dilakukan di RS Mohammad Hoesin dari bulan Juli-Desember 2024. Didapatkan 33 sampel pasien dengan hipertrofi konka yang telah menjalani operasi dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Hasil: Didapatkan peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien dengan hipertrofi konka sebelum (41,55 ± 21,66) dan setelah (27,2 ± 20,02) operasi berdasarkan kuesioner Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) (p=0.00). Diantara kelompok gejala pada Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22), tampak perbedaan yang signfikan dari kelompok gejala hidung (p = 0,00), gejala telinga/fasial (p = 0,00) dan gangguan fungsi (p = 0,019). Sedangkan pada kelompok gangguan emosi (p = 0,170) dan gangguan tidur (p = 0,214) tidak tampak perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah operasi. Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kualitas hidup pasien dengan hipertrofi konka sebelum dan setelah operasi berdasarkan kuesioner Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) Kata kunci: Hipertrofi konka, SNOT-22 Background: Turbinoplasty in patients with turbinate hypertrophy is a common surgery in the field of Ear Nose Throat – Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS). Knowing the many complications that can occur, it is necessary to conduct research to determine the quality of life and an effective surgical technique. Objective: To determine the comparison of the quality of life of patients with turbinate hypertrophy before and after surgery based on the Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) questionnaire at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital. Methods: An analytic observational study with a retrospective cohort design was conducted at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital from July-December 2024. There were 33 respondents with turbinate hypertrophy who underwent surgery and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: There was an improvement in the quality of life in patients with turbinate hypertrophy before (41,55 ± 21,66) and after (27,2 ± 20,02) surgery based on the Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) questionnaire (p=0.00). Among the symptom groups of Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22), there is a significant difference in the nasal symptoms (p = 0,00), ear/facial (p = 0,00) and functional (p = 0,019) groups. Whereas, the emotional dysfunction (p = 0,170) and sleep dysfunction (p = 0,214) groups shows no significant difference before and after surgery Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the quality of life of patients with turbinate hypertrophy before and after surgery based on the Sino-nasal Outcome Test-22 (SNOT-22) questionnaire.
