Abstract

The purposes of this research are to (1) analyze the production factors that affect the paddy seeding and rice consuming and also the elasticity level of each production factors, (2) analyze the comparison of productivity and income ofpaddy seeding and rice consuming, (3) analyze the relation between variable costs with productivity and productivity with income of paddy seeding and rice consuming. This research was conducted at Sako Village, RambutanDistrict Banyuasin on April 2016. This research is conducted by using survey method. The samples are selected by using purposive sampling method, it is due to the limitation of the data regarding the number of farmer populations who run the paddy seeding and rice consumingof farming in the same growing season. The samples taken in this study are total of 30 farmers. The results showed that (1) the seed and herbicide have obvious impacttoward the production ofpaddy seeding, meanwhile on the rice consumption, the obvious production factors are the seeds, npk fertilizer and herbicides. On paddy seeding, the elasticity value of the factors of seed production, fertilizer urea, NPK fertilizer, insecticide and herbicide production are on production area number two which mean elastic. For the labor value of the elasticity, it showed that this factor is on production area number one which mean elastic. On rice consuming elasticity factor of seed, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer and herbicide and labor are on production are number two which means elastic and elasticity value of insecticides showed that this factors is on the production area number three which mean not elastic. (2) there is a obvious differences in the productivity between with the deviation of 801 kg/ha. And There is also a obvious difference in the income between the paddy seeding and rice consumingwith the difference of Rp 6.048.515 /ha. Based on R/C value, the ratio of paddy seeding is 4.03 bigger than riceconsuming that is 3.81, (3) there is a strong relation between variable costs with the productivity in paddy seeding and there is a very strong relation on thericeconsuming. And there is also a very strong relation on productivity with the income of paddy seeding andriceconsuming.
