Abstract

This research is entitled "PRIMORDIALISM IN LIME STONE BUSINESS (A Case Study of Communities Working in the Cretaceous Business of Tanjung Baru Village, East Baturaja District, Ogan Komering Ulu District)". The problem raised in this study is how Primordialism is interwoven in the limestone business and Primordialism barriers in social networks in the community of Tanjung Baru Village. The purpose of this study is to describe the primordialism that was established in the limestone business in Tanjung Baru Village and to know the primordial obstacles in building social networks with the people of Tanjung Baru Village. This study uses Qualitative methods that are researchers directly involved in research through observation and interviews. This research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the research that has been done, the results show a picture of primordialism in limestone business in Tanjung Baru village where there is familial primordialism, tribal primordialism, and religious primordialism. The primordialism of labor with society occurs because the closed nature of the workers makes friction resulting in one parties intimidated by other parties.
