Abstract
The hydroponic Smart Showcase is a modern agricultural innovation that requires real-time monitoring of light intensity to support plant growth. This study aims to implement a light intensity monitoring system based on Firebase Realtime Database. The system uses the BH1750 sensor to measure light intensity and an ESP8266 microcontroller to transmit data to Firebase. The stored data is displayed in the form of graphs and a web dashboard, allowing users to monitor lighting conditions flexibly on online. Test results show that the system is capable od displaying real-time light intensity data with low latency and the sensor accuracy is 0.82% for humidity, 0.19% for temperature, 0.01% for indoor light intensity, and 0.57% for outdoor light intensity. This system can assist users in monitoring and maintaining optimal light intensity for hydroponic plant growth.
