Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan Asam Asetat dengan kapasitas produksi 140.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan akan berdiri pada tahun 2034 berlokasi di Kawasan Industri Kaltim Industrial Estate (KIE) Bontang, Kalimantan Timur dengan luas 3,42 ha. Proses pembuatan Asam Asetat ini mengacu pada Patent US RE50,062 E, dimana proses yang digunakan adalah karbonilas metanol dengan karbon monoksida yang membentuk produk asam asetat. Reaksi berlangsung dalam Continous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) (180°C, 15 atm). Sistem organisasi perusahaan ini adalah line and staff dengan karyawan sebanyak 158 orang. Pabrik asam asetat layak didirikan karena telah memenuhi parameter kelayakan ekonomi: a) Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 99.268.834,0909 b) Total Penjualan per Tahun = US$ 137.327.980,0923 c) Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 77.502.114,2945 d) Annual Cash Flow = US$ 34.891.534,8106 e) Pay Out time = 2,7262 tahun f) Rate of return on investment = 39,1732% g) Discounted Cash Flow–ROR = 47,1732% h) Break Even Point (BEP) = 32,5631% i) Service Life = 11 tahun Kata Kunci: Asam Asetat, Continous Stirred Tank Reactor, Karbonilasi
