Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menduga nilai erosi tanah pada areal kebun kelapa sawit dengan strata umur dan faktor lereng berbeda di PT. Waimusi Agroindah, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Studi ilmiah ini berfokus pada pengukuran erosi tanah dan penentuan kelas bahaya erosi pada lahan kelapa sawit dengan strata umur berbeda yaitu umur 20 tahun, 16 tahun dan 5 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan analisis survei tingkat semi detail dengan dua titik sampel yaitu datar (0-8%) dan landai (8-15%) serta pengambilan sampel tanah pada kedalaman 0-30 cm. Faktor yang diamati yaitu: Faktor erosivitas hujan (R), faktor panjang dan kemiringan lereng (LS), erodibilitas tanah (tekstur tanah, struktur tanah, permeabilitas tanah, dan bahan organik tanah), tutupan lahan (C), dan tindakan konservasi lahan (P). Pendugaan erosi menggunakan metode USLE (Univsersal Soil Loss Equation) yang terjadi di lahan kelapa sawit di PT. Waimusi Agroindah masih termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat ringan sekitar 1-10 ton ha-1 tahun-1. Nilai dugaan erosi paling tinggi terdapat pada petak lahan 20.A1 dan 20.A2 sekitar 2,347 - 10,319 ton ha-1 tahun-1, erosi paling rendah pada petak lahan 16.B1 dan 16.B2 sekitar 1,880 – 6,456 ton ha-1 tahun-1, menunjukkan lahan di kebun kelapa sawit PT. Waimusi Agroindah memiliki nilai kelas bahaya erosi masih berada pada klasifikasi sangat ringan dan masih dalam kondisi terjaga serta memiliki potensi produktivitas yang baik.
