Abstract
The research objective is to determine the role of adversity quuotient towards job stress in salespeople at X automotive company. The study hypothesis that adversity quotient has a role towards job stress in salespeople at A automotive company. The study population was the sales people in X company who belonging to a certain group. Data collection method of this study is non-probability sampling. Job stress and adversity quotient were measured by scales with reference to the symptomps of job stress from Robbins and Judge (2014) and dimensions of adversity quotient from Stolz (2007). Data analysis using simple regression analysis. The result of the regression analysis obtained by value R=0,889, p=0,026 (p<0,05). It shows that adversity quotient has a role towards job stress in salespeople. With R square = 0,791, which mean the magnitude of the roles of adversity quotient in influencing job stress is 79,1%. In the other words the hypothesis is accepted.
