Abstract
Changes in the inpatient room classification system have the potential to raise concerns about the decline in the quality of health services and can affect the level of satisfaction and perception of patients towards the hospital. This study aims to analyze the satisfaction of Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) health services at Dr. Rivai Abdullah General Hospital using the theory of five elements of consumer satisfaction. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in February-March 2025 at Dr. Rivai Abdullah Banyuasin General Hospital using 13 informants. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of patients, nursing team managers, heads of inpatient installations, and inpatient installation nurses. Triangulation of sources, methods, and time (interviews, observations, and documentation studies) using interactive model data analysis. The majority of patients have a positive perception of the five elements of consumer satisfaction and show a match between expectations and services received at Dr. Rivai Abdullah Banyuasin General Hospital. However, there are still complaints regarding the service and long waiting times for the room, full and crowded treatment rooms, and the lack of quality health workers so that patients have high expectations for the hospital to improve the quality of health services Researchers recommend that hospitals improve the quality of services as a whole, including conducting periodic training and continuing education for medical personnel, increasing the number of beds, and evaluating service flows to find obstacles in the health service process in order to improve patient satisfaction
