Abstract

Livestock food was one of important factors in livestock business. Succesfulness or failness of livestock business was determined by the feed stock. There are two kind of food for ruminansia liverstock they are concentrate and fresh forege. It is important to give these two kind of food in proportional and balance portion in order to grow the livestock into optimal weight. This research was conducted to know the physical characteristics of crushed yield using organik crusher combination machine for liverstock feed. (cow). This research was held in farm machinery laboratorium, faculty of farm, Sriwijaya University Indralaya on November 2015 till end. This research used descriptive method where the data presented on table and graphic. The machine capacity to crushed sugarcane waste and eleocharis dulcis was 51.65 kg/h, cassava stem and benggala grass was 43.32 kg/h and palm stem and paddy straw was 43.01 kg/h. The fuel consumption for sugarcane waste and eleocharis dulcis was 1.29 l/h, cassava stem and benggala grass was 1.30 l/h, and palm stem and paddy straw was 1.33 l/h. Presentation of the most shredded output is using 4 mesh strainer size for harsh material (sugarcane waste, cassava stem and palm stem) and 2 mesh strainer size for forage material (eleocharis dulcis, benggala grass and paddy straw). Where as for the lowest presentation output for harsh material and forage material is at 9 mesh strainer size.
