Abstract

Sungai Penjemuran mengalami penurunan kualitas air akibat pembuangan air lindi TPA Sukawinatan, berdampak kepada peternakan di sekitarnya. Analisis pengaruh variasi Media Substrat terhadap efektivitas penurunan polutan pada constructed wetland tipe free water surface menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan desain skala laboratorium berdimensi 70 cm x 35 cm x 40 cm, diisi dengan air Sungai Penjemuran. Sistem pengolah air diuji dengan menggunakan dua variasi Media Substrat yaitu Substrat 1 yang berisi Pasir, Cocopeat dan Kerikil serta Substrat 2 yang berisi Pasir saja. Tanaman yang digunakan adalah eceng gondok. Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) ditetapkan 24 jam. Hasil pengujian dengan efektivitas terbaik dalam menurunkan parameter polutan terdapat pada variasi Substrat 2 yaitu Pasir saja, dengan efisiensi penurunan sulfat sebesar 53,02%, penurunan Sulfida sebesar 81,82%, dan menstabilkan pH sebesar 65,32% menjadi 7,34, nilai tersebut sudah sesuai dengan baku mutu air kelas II berdasarkan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021. Perhitungan Rancangan Anggaran Biaya (RAB) juga dilakukan guna mendukung implementasi di lapangan. Kajian ini mengusulkan metode ramah lingkungan dalam pengolahan air sungai yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan perairan sekaligus menunjang produktivitas bidang peternakan.
