Abstract

This study examines the influence of natural resources, financial development, and trade openness on economic growth in Emerging Markets countries using secondary data from the World Bank for the period 1997 to 2021. The analysis technique used is panel data with the Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method in analyzing short-term and long-term relationships between variables. The results show that natural resources have a significant negative effect on economic growth in the long term, while in the short term they have a significant positive effect on economic growth. Financial development has a significant positive effect in the long term and an insignificant positive effect in the short term on economic growth. Trade openness also has a significant positive effect in the long term and a significant positive effect in the short term on economic growth. Financial sector development and trade openness are two main factors that drive economic growth
