Abstract

Banyuasin River is one of the important areas and potentially in South Sumatra. On the Banyuasin River Estuary there is Tanjung Api-Api Port as one of the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ). The purpose of this research is to measure the bathymetry profile on the Banyuasin River, especially in the inner river. This research was conducted on 6-23 October 2018 in the Banyuasin River, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The method used in this research is the acoustic method by conducting a sound using a singlebeam echosounder Simrad EK-15 frequency of 200 kHz. The results of this research are bathymetry maps in 2D and 3D form which show that the waters have the lowest depth of 0.17 m which is located in the western part of the river, and the highest depth is 9.91 m which is located at the mouth of the river and there is a basin at the topography is due to the sedimentation process. The measurement of tides for the mean sea level height (MSL) is 2.38 m, the highest tide is 1.449 m above MSL, and the lowest ebb is 1.44 m below the MSL.
