Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan kecemasan sosial, serta keempat dimensinya, yaitu shared content anxiety, privacy concern anxiety, interaction anxiety, dan self-evaluation anxieTY. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan keempat dimensinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 308 orang remaja akhir pengguna media sosial yang berada pada rentang usia 18-22 tahun dan menggunakan media sosial lebih dari lima jam dalam sehari. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan kecemasan sosial p=0,000 (p<0,05), terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan shared content anxiety p=0,000 (p<0,05), tidak terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan privacy concern anxiety p=0,157 (p>0,05), terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan interaction anxiety p=0,001 (p<0,05), dan terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan self-evaluation anxiety p=0,000 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, empat dari lima hipotesis diterima dan satu hipotesis ditolak.
