Abstract
The propylene glycol production plant, with a capacity of 59,000 tons/year, is planned to be established in 2030 in Manyarejo, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, East Java Province, with an estimated land area of 8.7 hectares. The production process refers to patent number WO2023196469A1. The raw materials used are glycerol and hydrogen. The reaction takes place in two reactors: a multitubular fixed bed reactor (220°C, 2 atm) and a trickle bed reactor (200°C, 4 atm). This propylene glycol plant will operate as a Limited Liability Company (PT) led by a director. The company will adopt a line and staff organizational system, employing a total of 173 personnel. The plant is deemed feasible for establishment as it meets the economic feasibility parameters. ● Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 107.604.076,44 ● Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 59.596.926,90 ● Annual Cash Flow = US$ 44.626.722,83 ● Pay Out Time (POT) = 2,6 tahun ● Rate of Return on Investment (ROR) = 32,2% ● Discounted Cash Flow - ROR = 38,76% ● Break Even Point (BEP) = 28,85
