Abstract

Kepahiang District, Bengkulu Province, is located along the active Musi Segment of the Sumatera Fault, making it highly vulnerable to seismic activity. The region includes residential areas and vacant lands with development potential, requiring a thorough understanding of subsurface conditions to mitigate earthquake risks. This study aims to analyze local site effects, including dominant frequency, dominant period, amplification factor, and seismic vulnerability index, as well as to identify the distribution of shear wave velocity (Vs₃₀) to estimate seismic hazard potential using the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method. Microtremor measurements were conducted at 21 locations across several villages. Data were processed using Geopsy for HVSR analysis, Dinver for Vs₃₀ inversion, and QGIS for spatial mapping. Results show that dominant frequency ranges from 0.63 Hz to 10.735 Hz, with the highest value in Padang Lekat Village. The dominant period ranges from 0.093 to 1.587 seconds, with the highest found in Pasar Ujung Village. The highest amplification factor and seismic vulnerability index were observed in Imigrasi Permu Village. Vs₃₀ values range from 206.14 m/s to 513.89 m/s, indicating soft to medium soil types based on SNI 1726:2019 classification.
