Abstract

GFR merupakan reaktor maju Generasi IV yang beroperasi pada spektrum neutron cepat dengan pendingin helium, memberikan potensi tinggi dalam daur ulang aktinida serta minimalisasi limbah nuklir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis desain neutronik teras Gas-cooled Fast Reactor (GFR) menggunakan kode simulasi OpenMC dan SRAC. Studi dilakukan dengan pemodelan sel bahan bakar dan teras menggunakan bahan bakar campuran oksida (MOX) berbasis uranium-plutonium, dengan variasi kandungan Pu239 untuk menilai kinerja neutronik. Simulasi burnup dilakukan selama sepuluh tahun, mengamati parameter kritis seperti faktor multiplikasi efektif (keff), rasio konversi (CR), distribusi fluks neutron, dan laju reaksi fisi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa simulasi dengan OpenMC tervalidasi terhadap SRAC dengan selisih error rata-rata kurang dari 1%. Teras GFR dengan bahan bakar MOX berhasil mempertahankan kekritisannya sepanjang waktu burnup dan menunjukkan karakteristik breeding dengan nilai CR > 1. Distribusi fluks neutron dan reaksi fisi menunjukkan intensitas tinggi di pusat teras dengan distribusi yang cukup merata.
