Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of liquid biofertilisation with various concentrations on the growth and yield of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq). The research was conducted at the land for research Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra, from February to May 2024. The oil palms used were fifteen years old. The design used was a Randomised Block Design (RBD) with six treatment levels, namely the concentration of liquid Biofertizer (LB) were 0% (control), 1.3%, 1.6%, 2%, 2.6%, and 4%, each replicated were fourth from LB (liquid Biofertizer) commercial. The results showed that the application of liquid biofertizer had a very significant effect on the number of midribs, especially at four week and six week. However, there was no significant effect on others such as the number of spear leaves, flowers, FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch), and soil pH. The addition of 4% LB (liquid Biofertizer) could increased soil pH by 0.06 points. LB (liquid Biofertizer) could also increase the number of female flower bunches, oil palm fruit bunches and couldnot reduce the number of male flower bunches.
