Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest rubber producing country along with the two largest natural rubber producing countries, namely Thailand and Malaysia. Indonesia contributes 26 percent of the total world production of natural rubber. Rubber is one of the important agricultural commodities in national and international distribution. South Sumatra is an important producer of natural rubber in Indonesia. This commodity has made a huge contribution to the economy in South Sumatra. Rubber prices in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency have significantly increased each year, from the average price of rubber prices from 2015 to 2017. When in 2015 prices selling rubber reached 8,590 Rp / kg sold by rubber farmers, whereas in 2017 the selling price of rubber was 6,932 Rp / kg sold by rubber farmers who started rubber production in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The purpose of this research were to: 1) Calculate the differences in rubber farming income before the rubber selling price fell in 2015 and after the rubber selling price fell in 2017 in Tanjung Ali Village Jejawi District Ogan Komering Ilir District, 2) Calculate the amount of rubber farming income contribution to the total income of rubber farmers in the Tanjung Ali Village Jejawi Subdistrict Ogan Komering Ilir. This research had been conducted in the Tanjung Ali Village Jejawi District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. These cities are purposive. The data retrieval was conducted in March 2019 until July 2019. The method used in this research is a survey method. The sampling technique is done by method simple random sampling. The research showed average Income the average farmer rubber before the prices of rubber in 2015 amounted Rp. 62.746.233,- per year, equivalent to 62,40 percent while farmers income band after the price of rubber down in 2017 amounted Rp. 37.804.018,- per year, equivalent to 37,60 percent in the space of Rp. 24.942.215,- per year, equivalent to 24,80 percent, where farmers income before the prices of rubber or higher than after the price of rubber. the whole income of rubber farming households in 2017 is Rp. 81,500,295 per year with a percentage of 40.17 and a whole difference of Rp. 39,885,442 per year with a percentage of 19.65 percent, where the contribution of rubber farming plays an important role in the total income of rubber farming households. The contribution of rubber farming income in 2015 and in 2017 amounted to 51.69 percent and 46.38 percent, while the contribution of non-rubber farming income in 2015 and in 2017 amounted to 36.94 percent and 41.35 percent and revenue contribution Other businesses in 2015 and in 2017 amounted to 11.37 percent and 12.27 percent, which means that the contribution of rubber farming income plays a more important role than the contribution of non-rubber farming and non-farming income to the total income of rubber farming households.
