Abstract

The Ogan River in the Baturaja region is inhabited by four species of the Cyprinidae family: Rasbora lateristriata, Labiobarbus festivus, Mystacoleucus obtusirostris, and Osteochilus waandersii, which are presumed to exhibit morphological and growth pattern variations. This study aimed to analyze the growth patterns and morphometric variations of these species. The research was conducted in the Ogan River, Baturaja, using a descriptive quantitative method. A total of 276 specimens were obtained through convenience sampling and analyzed using linear allometric regression and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The results showed that R. lateristriata and L. festivus exhibited positive allometric growth in total length, standard length, and body depth. In contrast, M. obtusirostris and O. waandersii showed negative allometry in total and standard lengths, but positive allometry in body depth. The highest PC1 values were found in total length and body depth. The closest morphological similarity was found between L. festivus and O. waandersii in total length (PC1 difference = 0.39%), and between L. festivus and R. lateristriata in standard length (0.37%) and body depth (1.27%). The results were developed into enrichment materials and Student Worksheets (LKPD) with contextual content for the Grade X high school biology topic on biodiversity. Validation by a lecturer and teacher produced a Proportion of Agreement (PA) value of 1, indicating that the LKPD and enrichment materials are feasible for use without revision.
