Abstract

The research of this study is to determine the description of juvenile delinquency in the students of SMK X Palembang. This study was conducted to determine the percentage of students who commit juvenile delinquency in the Students of SMK X Palembang. The population of this students of SMK X Palembang. The research sample of 161 students and for testing the measuring instrument used as many as 30 students, used nonprobability sampling, in the form of purposive sampling. The scale used by the researcher compiled himself by the juvenile delinquency scale which refers to the theory of juvenile delinquency aspects from Jensen (2016). The results of the research analysis were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods and Chi-Square test. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that delinquency was the most common among male adolescents aged 16 years and included in low socioeconomic status.
