Abstract

Empati merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan emosional dan sosial siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya, terutama untuk siswa menengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan menggunakan teknik brainstorming untuk meningkatkan empati siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 10 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat empati siswa, dengan rata-rata skor empati meningkat dari 88,10 pada pre-test dan menjadi 100,70 pada post-test. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 (< 0,05), yang menandakan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik brainstorming efektif dalam meningkatkan empati siswa.
