Abstract

The Rapid Development of information Technology has encouraged various educational institutions to adopt information Systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative processes. One of the essential activities in academic environments is recording the attendance of lecturers and students. At the D3 Informatics Management Study Program of Sriwijaya University, the attendance system is still carried out manually using attendance books, which is considered impractical and prone to errors. To address this issue, a web-based attendance recapitulation application for lecturers and students was designed and developed. This application aims to assist the program's administrative staff in managing attendance data, from inputting and editing attendance records to automatically generating attendance recap reports. Based on the research and testing conducted by the author, it can be concluded that the application meets the research objectives and aligns with the needs of the Informatics Management Study Program at Sriwijaya University.
