Abstract
Forage biscuits is one of the feed preservation technology to be more durable during the storage period. One of the advantages of feed biscuits is not season dependent. Physical quality tests on livestock feed biscuits, in addition to being influenced by the manufacturing process, are also influenced by the type of composition of the constituent materials used in the manufacture of the feed biscuits. Utilization of Hymenachne acutigluma Grass With Various Legume Supplementation in the form of biscuits is expected to increase the nutritional value and physical quality of the resulting biscuits. The aim of the research was study The Physical Quality Test Of Complete Feed Biscuits Based Of Hymenachne acutigluma Grass With Various Legume Supplementation. The research was held from June until October 2016 in Animal feed and nutrition, Departement of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. Treatment consists of P0 (65% Hymenachne acutigluma + 30% concentrate + 5% cassava flour), P1(50% Hymenachne acutigluma + 30% concentrate + 7,5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 7,5% Leucena leucecaphala + 5% cassava flour), P2 (50% Hymenachne acutigluma + 30% concentrate + 7,5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 7,5% Acacia villosa + 5% cassava flour), P3 (50% Hymenachne acutigluma + 30% concentrate + 5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 5% Leucena leucecaphala + 5% Acacia villosa + 5% cassava flour). Density, Spesific weight, stacking angle and water absorb ability were observed as parameter. The result showed that all treatments were significantly affect specific weight and water absorb ability (P<0,05), and were not affect the density and stacking angle significantly (P>0,05). Treatment with Various Legume Supplementation has the best result based on density, stacking angle, specific weight, and water absorb ability value (0,36 g cm-3, 71,04 g ml-3, 0,94 and 82,78% respectively).
