Abstract
Smart Farming is a modern agricultural concept that utilizes IoT technology to improve land management efficiency. This research designs an IoT-based soil moisture monitoring system using NodeMCU ESP8266 and a moisture sensor connected to RESTful Web Service. Moisture data is automatically sent to the server via HTTP, stored in the MySQL database, and managed by the Laravel backend. Monitoring results are displayed through a web dashboard with features that can perform automatic data monitoring, can view data history, and export data. Tests show that the system is able to monitor soil conditions (dry, moist, wet) accurately and support the concept of Smart Farming which is practical and adaptive.
