Abstract

ABSTRAK This study aims to determine the types of pollinator insects, diversity index, evenness and dominance in pineapple plantations in Menanti Village, Kelekar District, Muara Enim Regency. This study uses a survey method with a exploration technique, namely going directly to the field in observation and sampling. Sample collection using tools such as yellow trap, light trap, and direct capture with insect net. The results of the study obtained 3 orders and 7 families as well as 11 types of pollinating insects with a total of 147 individuals. The highest insect family is dominated by Formicidae, while the lowest is the Nympalidae family. The diversity index value of pollinator insects is categorised as moderate, which is 2.10. The evenness index value of insects is categorised as moderate, which is 0.65. The dominance index value of insects is categorised as low, which is 0.19. The conclusion of this study was that 25 types of pollinator insects were found with a moderate diversity index. This shows that the ecosystem on the pineapple plantation is stable, the distribution of the number of individuals of each type is quite even and no type of pollinator insect is too dominant. The results of this study will be implemented in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) for Biology learning for Senior High School class X Independent Curriculum in Phase E on Biodiversity.
