Abstract
Low rank coal of South Sumatra Province has large reserves but low calorific value. To improve the quality of the coal by lowering the air water content. Used is a Dehumidificr tool and drying column in Flash Drycr which is able to dry coal very quickly is expected to increase the value of low rank coal calories South Sumatra Province. Coal samples taken from Musi Banyuasin Regency, Muara Enim Regency, and Lahat Regency. Samples from the three districts were erushed to 100 mesh (0.149 mm). The result of this research shows that the highcst Moisturc content is in Musi Banyuasin Regency (moisture contentbef0re = 48,20 % and moisture contentafter = 38,34 %),while the lower Moisture content in Lahat Regency (moisture contentbe^ore = 32,57 % and moisture contenta^ter = 32,37 %), and the lowest in Muara Enim Regency (moisture contentbefore = 31,25 % and moisture content^tsr = 18,36 %) Keywords Ciiations : Low Rank Coal, Dehumidifier, Flash Dryer, Moisture Content : 22 (1981-2018)
