Abstract

Corrosion is a material degradation because it interacts with the surrounding environment. The cause of corrosion there are two causes, namely the process Chemical ly and the treatment process. Chemical corrosion process i s a process of ionization that occurs naturally due to the interaction with air, the treatment process is a process that occurs on the cushion is not maintained. This study aims to identify and understand bearing damage due to corrosion in electric motors with predetermined conditions through vibration waves and using artificial neural network melhod. This research was conducted by recording the bearing vibration signal in electric motors affected by NaCl corrosion by 3% using the program matlab, vibration sensor, and arduino uno connected to the laptop. The required data is the vibration signal frequency of the new bearing and bearing corroded by NaCl as much as 3%. The analysis is presented in tables and graphs to see the effect of new bearing variations and the 3% NaCl corroded bearings on the research objectives. From the test obtained the maximum, minimum, average value of each test bearing that shows the limit of detection value of each test each bearing. From the test results in the presentation of damage detection on the pads using identification on the x axis of the bearing has not been detected the damage, the bearing damage presentation using identification on the y axis when the pads have achieved the corrosion value by NaCl as much as 3% for 10 days bearing has been damaged, on identification using the z axis the presentation of the bearing damage is obvious because the first bearing damage value lies on the Nacl bearing 3% for 10 days and the second bearing damage lies on the 3% NaCl corroded bearings for 5 days.
