Abstract

Kupu-kupu merupakan bagian dari keanekaragaman hayati yang harus dijaga kelestariannya. Kupu-kupu memiliki nilai penting bagi manusia maupun lingkungan antara lain, nilai ekonomi, ekologi, estetika, pendidikan, konservasi dan budaya. Akhir- akhir ini pemerintah kabupaten kota pagar alam sedang giat-giatnya membangun kawasan wisata dengan membangun villa, alih fungsi lahan jadi kebun, hal ini akan berdampak pada keanekaragaman hayati khususnya kupu-kupu yang disebabkan punahnya tanaman inang, bagi larva ataupun sebagai sumber nektar bagi kupu- kupu dewasa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Purposive Random Sampling, pengambilan dilaksanakan dengan metode penjumpaan langsung dan menggunakan umpan perangkap. Penelitian ini diharapkan Memberikan basis data (database) tentang kupu-kupu khususnya family Nymphalidae di daerah kaki gunung dempo.
