Abstract

Perforated plate solar collector is a variation of the heat transfer system that functions to store heat hy absorbing heat from solar radiation. This study uses a perforated plate solar collector with a hole diameter of 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm, staggered hole arrangement. With the same size and the same number of holes, coating on the plates varied into two withoul any coating and coated with blackpaint. Tests carried out in a laboratory scale, by putting the collector in the wind tunnel test sessions tool and use spotlights 300 Watts instead of the Data obtained from the test is processed to obtain the value of the collector efficiency. The results showed that the value of collector efficiency is influenced by the speed of suction collector, diameter of plate and coating on the plate.
