Abstract

Swamp forage is one of the feed ingredients that can be used to overcome the shortage of feeding forage due to limited availability of land. One of the feed processing technique to improve the nutritional value of Blembem Grass (Ischaemum Rugosum) is by fermentation. In the fermentation process, the addition of Innoculant is needed. This Research Were Applying Hifer⊕ As Innoculant is Hi-fer⊕. This research was conducted from February to March 2017 at the Animal Feed And Nutrition Laboratory, Animal science department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. A completely randomized design method (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications Were applied The treatments consisted of P0 (Blembem Grass (Ischaemum Rugosum) without treatment (control)), P1 (Blembem Grass (Ischaemum Rugosum) + 0.4% Hi-fer⊕), P2 (Blembem Grass (Ischaemum Rugosum) + 0.8% Hi-fer⊕), P3 (Blembem Grass (Ischaemum Rugosum) + 1,2% Hi-fer⊕). The observed parameters were crude protein, crude fiber and extract ether. The results of this study indicates that the treatments significantly affect (P <0.05) crude protein, crude fiber however extract ether were not significantly affected (P >0.05). The conclusion of this study is the use of Hi-Fer⊕ on Blembem Grass fermentation (Ischaemum rugosum) can increase crude protein content, crude fiber, but not affect the crude fat content
