Abstract

This study compared the mechanical properties of the combined residls of re- cast aluminum alloy wheels secondhand motorcycles and cookware that is heat treated and non- heat treated . From the resulls of the casting was done testing the chcmical composition of the content of the generated including the aluminum turns into aluminum or copper alloy s Al - Cu . The results of the re- cast partly cmnealing heat treatment at a temperature of 350 0 C with detention time for 2 hours and mosi are not heat-treated. From the results of mechanical properties testing tern oul percentage of the value of hardness ( BHN ) after annealing decreased on average by 27.03 % . The percentage of the value of the impaet energy ( E ) an increase after annealing average of 25.9 % and 33.15 % for the value of the impaet energy per unit area ( W) . From the lensile t es t results , the percentage of the value of ultima t e stres s ( au ) and fraeture stress ( of) after annealing decreased on average by 11.42 % and 13.99 % , While the increase in lengih (e ) increased by an average of37.45 % . From the results of testing the mechanical properties of aluminum turns resulting from the re- casting without heat treatment have better mechanical properties than the annealing heat treated.
