Abstract

Machining process is the process of making the product, primarily of metal .It was also seleclecl as the final process of makinglhe component of engine or ecjuipment. One of the machining processesis a process known as Milling. Machining cjuality infiuenced hy several factors, these factors include the conditions operation of machining, cutting tool used, and the tested material. This study aims to determine the meachine conditions on the machine power characteristics of face milling process. With variations such as engine spindle speed (n), feed rate (Vj), depth of cut (a), and also doing machining by using two types of comparing material of different work piece, namely low carbon Steel and medium carbon Steel. The reated power is known, medium carbon Steel was larger than low carbon Steel. Keywords : Milling Machine, low carbon Steel, medium carbon Steel’ characteristic of mechanical power.
