Abstract

Machinery process planning is conducted using cutting parameter in certain value. Choice of a particular value considers chosen tools,The stiffer and the more robust chosen tools means wider machinery condition can be utilized. the reduction in stiffness might be affected by machine's age. This working age will consecjuently limits the choice of machinery condition that can be chosen. One of the tangible effect is reduction of particular machine productivity that also impacts on reduction of product quality. This research aims to ftnd effect of machinery operational effect towards surface roughness on aluminium and brass work subject. By varying spindel rotation (n), feed rate (vf) and cutting depth (a), so as obtained result of roughness surface for Aluminium and for Brass, based on the interpretation of observation result, aluminium was identified to have smoother roughness surface compared to brass and Freis CNC TU 3A machine condition still able to result decent work subject because its roughness surface is still within the ISO Standard range of that particular type of machine.
