Abstract
Purpose of research singer is for a review to assess the effect of ethanol and acetone as working fluid in pipe heat with orientation position horizontal, 30°, 45°, 60°, dan 90° against decrease in temperature and assess the effect of variation orientation position pipe heat of the rate of heat transfer on pipe heat with by making experimental method using a test device . Testing is done by providing the heat pipe heat load ( Q ) on a heat pipe using an electric heater connected to the voltage meter to adjust the power output. Furthermore, the temperature data collection at the point of measurement ( Tl, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9 , T10, Tsumber ) using a thermocouple type K. Data is collected from the first 5 minutes while maintaining the temperature at 70 °C source . Then the results are presented in tables and graphs . From the findings analisan testing and discussion tums heat pipe with using acetone as the working fluid showed findings better hearts decrease in temperature compared with the heat pipe working fluid using ethanol. This is shown in the average heat load is able to be reduced by a heat pipe using acetone working fluid is greater than the working fluid using ethanol, which amounted to 20.8 W with maximum temperature on the heat source 68 °C. To test the heat pipe at various positions orientation using acetone working fluid occurs in a horizontal position, 30°, 45° , 60°, and 90°. While using the working fluid ethanol occurs only in a horizontal position. Key Words : heat pipes, acetone, ethanol iv
