Abstract
Indonesia has wind capacity sufficient. The wind speed in Indonesia is on average between 3 m/s - 6 m/s. Therefore. researcher would like to developed wind energy using wind turbines by Darrieus. Wind turbine is a tools developed to help determine the amount of electrical voltages, electric current, and electric power that can be generated o f wind turbine through the electrical generators. This research was conduct by experimental method. The objective of this researc was to fmd out the influence of variation wind speed to performance of wind turbine by instaliing the electric generator as a tool convert turbine motion into electrical energy. Variations of wind speed used in this research was in wind speeds 3,50 m/s, 5,07 m/s, and 6,98 m/s. The results of this research showed that wind speed influence to electrical power generated by electric generator, that is maximum power is obtained in variations of wind velocity 6,98 m/s with electric power of 1,1528 W, electrical voltage is 5,24 V and electric current 0,35 A. overall efficiency Maximum was in wind speed of 3,50 m/s with efficiency value is 14,18%.
