Abstract

Machining process is a formation of one production which is used by a reduction tools machine. Machining process that will to do is a tuming process, where the reduction is on the reduction on the material works and the tools in a straight action. Machining process is divided into the diy machining process and wet machining process. One of the important factor of machining process is the using of coolant liquid. This coolant liquid has a special function , which is to arise the pretition, also delicate the surface of the machining process results . Besides , this function of liquid is , to clean or bringing chip and make the guide ways of machine oily, also to protect the component of machine from the corotion.Cutting force is the parameter, which is the important thing to analysis, because it has an influence to the capacity of power of cutting force whic is used in the machining process. One of the crucial parameter is cutting force which has an effect with the others factors, they are variable process ( feeding , cutting speed and deep of cut) , workpiece material , tools geometry , and machine type which used for machining process. The purpose of this research is to analysis the effect of the coolant liquid to the cutting force in the machining process. The measure of cutting force will be influenced by the machining process which is measured by a simply dynamometer and a dial indicator that use the deflection that occurs in both of machining process dry machining process and wet machining process. The result of cutting force of both the machinning process will be compared and analysed with the using of coolant liquid for the machining process . After the testing of cutting force for the machining process with the variable which is determined , and the both of difference condition, dry machining process and wet machining process . So that the result of these are , the higher of value of the cutting speed ( Vc ) , then the value of the Cutting force ( Fv ) will be low , Otherwise , the higher of value of the Feeding (/ ) , then the value of the Cutting force ( Fv ) will be higher too. The coolant liquid for this wet machining process is Dromus coolant liquid, this dromus coolant liquid can be lower the value of cutting force (Fv), from the both of machining process (wet machining process and dry machining process ) with the same variable . Based on the testing of force velocity by the both of dry machining process and wet machining process. In the wet machining process with used the dromus coolant liquid can reduce the Cutting force on 0,883 % average, that is compared with the testing which has not using the coolant liquid ( dry machining process ). One of the important factor of the Cutiing Force ( Fv ) of this process is , the effect using coolant liquid that can reduce the value of cutting force and reduce the workpiece’s temperature for the force velocity process. Because of this , the reduction of Cutting force on the wet machining process , that is compared with the results of Cutting force on the dry machining process.
