Abstract

Design of shaft clrive pulley that used for the transport of long haul material, which is a mixture of coal and soil with heavier densities, bu/ now only carries the kind of sub bituminous coal from stockpiles have been available. It needs to analyze how the conditions of sress shaft drive pulley if the material transport is only sub-bituminous coals. In conducting the stress analysis resulting from loading o r forces (Force) that occurs i n shaft drive pulley, not only theoretically, bu/ also needed a simulalion using Autodesk Inventor 2016 Software with data input of belt resultant puli force, the force of drive pulley load from the drive components as well as the torcjue experienced by the shaft of the motor. From the analysis, i t i s known that shaft drive pulley in a safe condition is used for loading done because the value ofVon Mises Stress is still far from the material endurance limit. The simulalion results are also accordant with the theoretical calculations that show critical condition at the end of the smallest diameter before the increase of shaft level with safety factor i s not greatly different by 3.06 and 3.38.
