Abstract

which the mass of the test material is inversely proportional to the rising temperature and the time function (constantly increasing temperature). TGA is usually used to determine the material characteristics. The increasing curve of Aluminum material mass can be used to determine the oxidation. The rising point of the material mass can be used to calculate the activation energy. This research uses Q 500 series Thermogravimetri Analyzer (TGA) with 2 different aluminum test materials : diesel indirect casting fuel, spent fueloil+koroseneindirectcasting The result of the test shows that the activation energy for the First castingis bigger than second casting which has E = 28.4338 J / mol for ramp 5 and E = 34,5529 J / mol for ramp 10 , and E = 21.3670 J / mol for ramp5, E = 35,7668 J / mol for ramp 10.
