Abstract
Modeling two phase flow is carried out using Ansys Fluent (15.0.7)!s Software and uses variations of superficial velocity of water air and downward horizontal downward pipe. This two-phase flow is often encountered in the industrial world. especially the petroleum industry, from suction to distribution to oil refineries. This phenomenon of two-phase flow can be demonstrated flow pattem at horizontal pipe among others are slug flow, slug bubble flow, slug plug bubble flow, slug plug flow, plug flow, plug bubble flow, bubble flow, elongated bubble flow, and stratified wavy flow. The flow pattem formed is influenced by 7 superficial velocity of water with range (0.225-1.578 m/s) and 7 superficial air velocity with range (0.225-0.803 m/s) which becomesfor input variable and the downward horizontal downward pipeline becomes the geometry of the two-phase flow modeling then validated with the experimental can be considered in the piping system. Computational fluid dynamics of ansys fluent was carried out with 18 datas of superficial velocity variation with 5 variations of slope of pipe and resulted: Slug flow pattems that occured in each slope of the pipe except the downward slope of 10° which is simulated on the upward slope of 10° horizontal 0° downward 5°. Slug bubble flow pattem occured at each slope of the pipe and implemented simulations except on the downward slope of 10°. Slug plug bubble flow pattem occured only in upward and downward slope 10° and implemented simulation at upward slope of 10°.Slug plug flow pattem occurs at upward slope 5° and horizontal 0°, then implemented simulation at upward slope 5°.Plug flow pattem only occured in horizontal 0° and simulated. Plug bubble flow patter occured in each pipe slope and is simulated except at the downward slope of 5°. Bubble flow pattem occured only on the upward 5° and downward 10° then implemented simulations on the upward slope 5°. Elongated bubble flow pattem occured in each slope of the pipe, except iipward 10° and 5° simulations were performed on horizontal 0° and downward 5°.
