Abstract

Wheel lock is a tool to open and lock the nut on the wheel bolt of the vehicle by the way it wor/cs bolt. A wheel lock capable of opening and locking the nuts on the wheel bolts at once is required to make it easier to roli the wheels on the vehicle. The design of the tool opens and loc/cs the nut on the wheel bolt while using the planetary gear set as the main power of the Socket lock, with 1:16 turns capable reducing moments by 64000 Nm. Using a one-sided cylindrical Socket lock has a rectangular holder and the other end ofhexagonal dimension is used to grip the nut on the wheel bolt. the material on the socket lock lever is SCr 5 with its permit shear 163,444 N/ mm2 for opening and unknotting the nut on the wheel bolt having a 96,193 N / mm2 permit shear. The study focused on wheel bolts of vehicle diameter of 14 mm with 110 Nm of torque, on one wheel of the vehicle has 4 wheel bolts to produce 440 Nm t o open at once, reduced to 16 rounds to produce 27.5 Nm of torque for every 1 round of planetary gear input Keywords : planetary gear, reduction gear, socket wrench
