Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji psikologi dan nilai-nilai etnopedagogi yang terkandung dalam novel Totto-chan: Gadis Cilik di Jendela karya Tetsuko Kuroyanagi dan Implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan struktural yang difokuskan pada tokoh utama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, simak, dan catat. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa tokoh utama, Totto-chan, menunjukkan dinamika struktur kepribadian berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Freud, yaitu id, ego, dan superego. Dorongan id tampak melalui sikap hiperaktif dan imajinatif yang kuat, terutama sebelum memasuki Tomoe Gakuen. Seiring perkembangannya yang dipengaruhi oleh Kepala Sekolah, teman sebaya Totto-chan, Sang Mama, serta interaksi sosial dan pengalaman sehari-hari di Tomoe Gakuen, aspek ego mulai berperan dalam menyeimbangkan keinginan dan kenyataan, kemudian, aspek superego terlihat dari tumbuhnya sikap empati dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sosialnya. Hasil analisis ini mencerminkan bahwa terdapat kaitan antara dinamika kepribadian dan nilai etnopedagogi yang dapat diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.
