Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the availability, need, and efficiency of agricultural equipment and machinery (alsintan) in Seritanjung Village. The method used was descriptive, with data collected through surveys and semi-structured interviews with farmers. The results indicate that the availability of agricultural equipment is still very limited, particularly for two-wheeled tractors, four-wheeled tractors, water pumps, harvesting machines, and post-harvest machinery. Sprayers are available in sufficient quantities. The use of agricultural equipment has increased farmer efficiency in land preparation, harvesting, and postharvest operations compared to traditional methods. However, high rental costs for agricultural equipment are a barrier for smallholder farmers, and inadequate infrastructure also hinders equipment mobilization. Therefore, this study recommends increasing the number of agricultural equipment, subsidizing rentals, and training for operators to support better and more sustainable agricultural productivity. Keywords: Agricultural Equipment, Alsintan Adequacy, Seritanjung Village, Agricultural Mechanization.ANUGRAH MUHAMAD PASCA, Kajian Ketersediaan Alat dan Mesin Pertanian di Desa Seritanjung Kecamatan Tanjung Lubuk Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir Sumatera Selatan (Dibimbing oleh HAISEN HOWER) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai ketersediaan, kebutuhan, dan efisiensi penggunaan alat dan mesin pertanian (alsintan) di Desa Seritanjung. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei dan wawancara semi-terstruktur kepada petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan alsintan masih sangat kurang, terutama untuk traktor roda dua, traktor roda empat, pompa air, mesin panen dan mesin pascapanen, sementara sprayer tersedia dalam jumlah yang cukup banyak. Penggunaan alsintan telah meningkatkan efisiensi kerja petani dalam pengolahan lahan, panen, dan pascapanen dibandingkan dengan metode tradisional. Namun, biaya sewa alsintan yang tinggi menjadi kendala bagi petani kecil, dan infrastruktur yang kurang memadai juga menghambat mobilisasi alat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan jumlah alsintan, subsidi sewa, dan pelatihan bagi operator untuk mendukung produktivitas pertanian yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan.
