Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kausalitas antara pengeluaran pemerintah dan investasi asing langsung terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di sepuluh negara ASEAN, yaitu Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand, Filipina, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Laos, Myanmar, dan Kamboja selama periode 2000–2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausalitas granger untuk melihat hubungan antar variabel. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari bank dunia dan sumber- sumber resmi lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat kausalitas antara pengeluaran pemerintah terhadap investasi asing langsung. Namun, terdapat hubungan satu arah antara pengeluaran pemerintah terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Selain itu, ditemukan hubungan dua arah antara investasi asing langsung dan pertumbuhan ekonomi di sebagian besar negara yang diteliti.
