Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of growth mindset in self-regulated learning among college employees. The research hypothesis states that growth mindset plays a role in self-regulated learning. The study population was college-going employees, with 275 participants and 50 for the pilot study, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The measurement tools used included a growth mindset scale based on Dweck's (2006) aspects with a reliability of 0,944, and a self-regulated learning scale based on Zimmerman's (1989) aspects with a reliability of 0,930. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0,000 (p < 0.05) with an R Square of 0.266, indicating that growth mindset plays a significant role in self-regulated learning, with an effective contribution of 26,6%. This finding supports the research hypothesis and confirms that growth mindset contributes to improving self-regulated learning in college employees.
