Abstract

A contextual wetland-based e-module on Archimedes' principle has been successfully developed to help improve students' mastery of physics concepts. This study aims to produce a contextual wetland-based physics e-module that can be used effectively in learning. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) at SMA Negeri 1 Lempuing. The results of the study indicate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and effective for use with 11th-grade students. This study followed the ADDIE model development stages, where the researcher designed the e-module on the Archimedes' principle material. The feasibility of the e-module was evaluated based on three aspects: validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validation results from media, content, and language experts showed an average total validation score of 90.37%, categorized as highly valid. The product testing involved 35 Grade XI MIPA.3 students and achieved a result of 89.9%, which was highly practical and acceptable to the students. The improvement in mastery of physics concepts through this e-module was measured using pretest-posttest scores, with an N-gain of 0.64, which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, this e-module is suitable and can be optimally utilized in the physics learning process at the high school level.
