Abstract

Permeabilitas tanah adalah kemampuan fluida untuk mengalir melalui ronggarongga tanah baik secara horizontal maupun vertikal. Tanah lempung ekspasif merupakan tanah yang mengalami perubahan volume akibat perubahan kadar air dalam tanah atau memiliki sifat kembang susut yang tinggi maka perlu dilakukan perbaikan terhadap tanah tersebut. Pengujian permeabilitas metode falling head merupakan pengujian yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Sampel tanah yang diuji adalah tanah lempung ekspansif yang distabilisasi dengan serbuk cangkang keong dengan variasi penambahan 3%, 7%, 11%, 15% dan 19% dengan masa perawatan 0 hari, 1 hari dan 7 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan serbuk cangkang keong dan penambahan masa perawatan cenderung dapat menurunkan nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah jika dibandingkan dengan tanah asli. Nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah asli sebesar 3,63x1 O'6 cm/detik sedangkan nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah terendah terjadi pada campuran 19% serbuk cangkang keong pada masa perawatan 0 hari yaitu 2,10x1 O'6 cm/detik.
