Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the yield of nutrient efficient maize genotypes at various dosages of nitrogen fertilizer. The research was conducted from December 2015 until March 2016 at Agro Techno Park (ATP), District Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. The research design was Split Plot Design with three replications. The main plot treatment consisted of three Nutrient Efficient Maize genotypes which were genotype A40 (G1), genotype B52953 (G2), genotype C3 (G3), and one hybrid variety Pioneer P31 (G4) as a control variety. Subplot treatment consisted of four dosages of nitrogen fertilizers which were 100 kg Urea ha-1 (P0), 175 kg Urea ha-1 (P1), 250 kg Urea ha-1 (P2), 325 kg Urea ha-1 (P3). The parameters measured were plant height, flowering time, weight of cob, lengt of cob, diameter of cob, number of grain rows per cob, number of grains per row, number of grains per cob, weight of grains per ear, weight of 100 grains, and cob production per ha. The data collected were analyzed with Analysis of varians (Anova). The Results showed that Genotypes A40 (G1) produced the highest cob yield which was 5.2 ton ha-1 and the highest average cob yield of 4,5 ton ha-1 was yielded by Urea dosage fertilizer 175 kg ha-1 (P1).
