Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan Asam Propionat yang berkapasitas produksi 30.000 ton per tahun yang akan direncanakan berdiri di Kawasan Industri Kaltim Industrial Estate (KIE) Bontang, Kalimantan Timur. Proses pembuatan Asam Propionat ini mengacu pada Patent CN114436819A. Dimana proses yang digunakan adalah karbonilasi metanol dan etanol dengan karbon monoksida yang membentuk produk asam propionat. Reaksi berlangsung dalam Continous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) (190ºC, 30 atm). Pabrik ini berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) yang dipimpin oleh direktur. Sistem organisasi perusahaan ini adalah line and staff dengan karyawan sebanyak 120 orang. Pabrik asam propionat layak didirikan karena telah memenuhi parameter kelayakan ekonomi: a) Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 23.180.504,21 b) Total Penjualan = US$ 82.690.940,19 c) Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 49.050.604,18 d) Annual Cash Flow = US$ 22.417.345,02 e) Pay Out Time = 1,706 tahun f) Rate Of Return On Investment (ROR) = 88,53% g) Discounted Cash Flow – ROR = 59,54% h) Break Even Point (BEP) = 35,36% i) Service Life = 11 Tahun
