Abstract

In Front Of Us is a short film that tells the story of a teenage girl who experiences bullying at her new school. This study aims to determine the representation of bullying in the short film In Front Of Us 2023. This research uses John Fiske's Theory through a descriptive qualitative approach. The data in the study were obtained from observation, documentation, and literature studies. The results of this study found that there are several scenes in the short film In Front Of Us that show signs of bullying according to Coloroso, namely verbal bullying, physical bullying, and psychological bullying. The conclusion of this research shows that bullying victims are often perceived as weak and helpless individuals, which may lead others to express their frustration through bullying. This result is expected to contribute to the study of visual communication and anti-bullying education.
