The anxiety level used the Dental Anxiety and Fear Index (IDAF-4C +) questionnaire. Measurements were taken before and after distraction using virtual reality and ipad. Data was analyzed with paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: The result of paired t-test was the provision of distraction using virtual reality and ipad had significant effect on anxiety in pediatric patients aged 6-12 years when primary tooth extracted (p <0.05). Independent t-test test results, significant difference between the distraction group using virtual reality and using the ipad to pediatric patients aged 6-12 years old when primary tooth extracted (p <0.05). Conclusion: Distraction using virtual reality was significantly more effective than using Ipad towards reducing anxiety and fear in pediatric patients aged 6-12 years when extracting primary teeth.
